WE ARE MADE OF STARSTUFF

2018 Video 26’21”

‘Our Sun is a second- or third-generation star. All of the rocky and metallic material we stand on, the iron in our blood, the calcium in our teeth, the carbon in our genes were produced billions of years ago in the interior of a red giant star. We are made of star-stuff.’

― Carl Sagan, 1973  ‘The Cosmic Connection: An Extraterrestrial Perspective’

WE ARE MADE OF STARSTUFF. Ongoing figure and landscape exploration with costume, performance and motion capture. A series of films created using in-camera effects and costumes create an uneasy relationship between figure and background.
